June is Pride month, which means that cities all over the nation are hosting events to celebrate sexual diversity and equality. At Good Clean Love this month, we are donating 10% of proceeds from online sales to the San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Community Center as part of our commitment to cause marketing.
The SF LGBT Center is an inspiring organization. Their mission is “to connect our diverse community to opportunities, resources and each other to achieve our vision of a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBT people and our allies.” According to their website, the SF LGBT Center hosts over 200 programs and welcomes more than 9,000 people each month, in addition to providing affordable office space. They offer free services like career counseling, job fairs, a computer lab, social activities, mentorships, youth meals, and daycare. These are clearly vital for people who may face discrimination at home, at school, and in the job market.
